The commission featured a new concert work from Armstrong, as well as a new exhibition work.

The exhibition project, titled The Earth Turned to Bring us Closer, saw Dalziel + Scullion film over 240 portraits of Glasgow. To accompany the film, German artist and musician AGF remixed with Armstrong the original opening concert work, ‘Memory Takes My Hand’, to create more abstract pieces. Exhibition Music: Memory Takes My Hand was inspired by the history of Kelvingrove, and featured words from acclaimed Scottish playwright Peter Arnott and vocals by soprano Lucy Crowe.
